China Sertha Gesar Tibetan Drama Troupe recently visited London, UK on invitation and received praise from local audience.

Based on traditional Tibetan drama, Gesar Tibetan drama performance introduces new components of rap and singing and dancing, and is popular around the people in pasturing areas.

The troupe were formed with top  members from home. They will give seven performances during July 22 to July 29 in London according to Qiu Ji, leader of the troupe.

"The visiting troupe is well known around Tibetan-inhabited areas and it has received high praise here in London," said Phuntsok Waya, principal of Britain Aid Tibet Charity, "The visiting performance has shorten the distance between Tibetan culture and British audience and it takes positive effect for the relationship between China and UK.
